did you know that communication is the biggest problem in valkyrie
they're famed for their fucking amazing performances but communication is a lost cause
it is not just shu's fault]
Well-- I mean, sure! I'd like somethin' from Nisa-kun! I'm makin' somethin' for you too, aftwait no don't listen to that, forget I ever thought that! But... Are ya sure?
[ HE IS NOT GOING TO ADDRESS THAT PART bc he knows mika well enough now to know that trying to dissuade him from being nice is a lost cause, also it's embarrassing?!
plowing right along— ]
You're going through the trouble to teach me something. It's... Isn't it a way to show appreciation? If you think something you made because of someone's help is good enough to give to that person...?
He's done that for Shu a few times too, but he'd always been rebuffed by his perfectionist leader; if he had time to make non-essential things then he had time to practice his sloppy, slow steps, if he wanted to get better than he had to actually try than toddle along in everything he did, harsh words like that. Honestly, they hurt a lot at the time, because Mika always tries his best, but the pain's mostly dulled now. He knows that Shu only means them in the best way, improvement through critique, so it's fine.
Still, Mika doesn't think he'll critique this gift.]
I wonder if Oshi-san'd scold me about that, too, [is the only part that slips out, the rest more a passing note of abrupt melancholy, before Mika's... voice??? brightens again.] When ya put it like that, even a brainless guy like me can get it~. Sorry for misunderstandin', Nisa-kun, I'll take yer scarf happily~.
[Especially since Nisaka thinks it's good enough to be given away. That's a lovely confidence in a beginner, Mika wants to make sure it shines brightly.]
2/2
Did I tell you I was learning how to sew?
[ so let us not think of it, then. ]

You are? How's it goin'? Have ya pricked yourself a lot?
no subject
Not really. [ "not really" ]
My coworkers thought it would help me look a little less bored at work. [ they keep doting on him?? make them go away. ] It's really annoying.

What sorta stuff have ya been making? Ya should practice with pot holders and stuff since they're hard to mess up.
no subject
[ he. he has a lot of time just standing behind the counter okay... ]
Most of it's kind of useless and for practice anyway, so they've just been giving them as give-aways for some purchases.

I want somethin' Nisa-kun made!

oops 2/2

[esp being a holiday mascot. he works a variety of jobs but that's definitely his favorite.]
I can spend a little for Nisa-kun's hard work.

[ when.. he eventually finishes that... ]

[?????]
Yer makin' me a scarf?
no subject
...Isn't that what that non-competition is about?
no subject
Wow. Disappointing.]
Y-Yeah. How's that goin'?
no subject
Not too bad. It's pretty relaxing to work on right before bed. I might be done by the end of the week.
no subject
I'll be lookin' forward to it, then..~ But like I said, take yer time with it! Give it yer own personal touch, you'll be wearin' it, after all!
[mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.]
no subject
obviously it has to be something more thoughtful than that. ]
Why me? [ MIKA, BAKA, IT'S YOURS. ]
no subject
[duh?]
no subject
[ you duh??? ]
no subject
No, no, I'm just teachin' ya! You're not obligated to give it to me or anythin'!
[that's what that is, right.]
no subject
So you're saying you don't want it?

[ he sounds quite uncertain and shy about that. ]

no subject
